Dear Toyota of Poway: The first annual Finish Chelsea's Run on March 5th was a spectacular day for our family and the San Diego community. With more then 5,100 people participating in the 5K run/walk and family Festival, it was a beautiful community celebration demonstrating what "changemakers" can truly accomplish. Thanks to the large turnout and the sponsorship support we received from you and other like-minded companies, Chelsea's Light Foundation raised approximately $110,000 for Chelsea's Light Sunflower Scholarship Fund. We are thrilled that you have made it possible to provide scholarship assistance to high school students through the Sunflower Scholarship Fund. We are right now in the process of reviewing a large number of applications from San Diego-area youth and next month we will award our first 10 scholarships. I look forward to introducing you to these special individuals at our awards ceremony so that you can personally meet the young people who are directly benefiting from your commitment to Finish Chelsea's Run.
